Our Supportive admissions team

When making the decision to get help for trauma, alcohol, substance use, or other mental health concerns, the admission process is the first step. Those seeking help are often in crisis mode and feeling lost, confused, isolated, and unsure of how to proceed. At First Responder Wellness, our goal is to ensure the process is as smooth as possible and to work quickly to get you or your loved one help.

As mental health continues to be on the forefront, our culture is slowly changing from, “suck it up buttercup, we don’t ask for help” to “we know there is a problem and we want our men and women to get help and be taken care of.” Our team works regularly with federal, state, county, and municipal agencies and their unions when they have members in crisis. We will walk you through this process step by step. Many agencies are extremely supportive when someone needs help. We also understand the need for privacy and can help you get off work and through treatment while maintaining your privacy.

What is the Admissions Process Like?

During the admission process, you will talk to one of our admissions specialists who will go over your trauma, alcohol or substance use history, mental health needs and  treatment goals to determine the level of care you may need and if First Responder Wellness is right for you. We will also answer any questions you may have about our programs or treatment process so you feel prepared to take the next steps for admission. During this time, any out-of-pocket expenses, leave of absence and insurance concerns can be addressed as well.
